Terms of Service
Effective October 5, 2026
Draft: have a lawyer review this before you launch publicly.
These terms are an agreement between you and ComoClip. By creating an account or using the website or ComoClip Desktop, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
1. The service
ComoClip finds moments in videos and live streams and turns them into short clips. You can process videos on your own PC with ComoClip Desktop or in our cloud, follow Twitch and Kick channels with Live auto-clip, style clips with templates, and download the results. Features may change over time.
2. Your account
You must be at least 13 (or the minimum age in your country) and old enough to agree to these terms. Give a real email address, keep your password secret, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You're responsible for what happens on your account and on the PCs you pair with it.
3. Your content and permission to clip
Only submit videos, links and channels that you own or have permission to clip. That includes the rights needed to record, edit, and post the clips, and following the rules of the platform the content comes from. Each time you add a video or a channel you confirm that you have this permission.
You keep ownership of your content. You give us a limited license to store, process and show it to you, only to provide the service. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backups that are removed on their normal schedule.
4. Live auto-clip
You can add any Twitch or Kick channel up to your plan's limit, or sign in to add your own channel as verified. ComoClip Desktop records a channel's streams on your PC while it's live. You're responsible for making sure you're allowed to record and clip each channel you add, and for following Twitch's and Kick's terms. Recording uses your computer's disk space, internet connection and graphics card. We don't guarantee that every stream or moment will be recorded or clipped. For example, a stream may be missed if your PC is off, offline or out of disk space.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use ComoClip to:
- infringe copyright or other rights, or repost other people's content without permission;
- make or share illegal, hateful, harassing or sexual content involving minors, or content that breaks a platform's rules;
- break, overload, reverse engineer or get around the limits or security of the service, or reach other users' data;
- resell the service or use it as a general-purpose AI or video-processing API.
We may remove content, pause features, or close accounts that break these rules.
6. Copyright complaints
If you believe content processed with ComoClip infringes your copyright, email us at [email protected] with: the work, where the content is, your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized, and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and you're the owner or allowed to act for them. We remove infringing content and close the accounts of repeat infringers.
7. ComoClip Desktop
We give you a personal, non-transferable license to install and run ComoClip Desktop on your own computers to use ComoClip. It may update itself. It needs compatible hardware and other software (such as an NVIDIA graphics card, ffmpeg and Ollama), which are your responsibility, along with any third-party software's own terms.
8. Plans, credits and payments
- Each plan has limits, such as cloud minutes, storage, video length and Live auto-clip channels, shown on the pricing page. Unused cloud minutes and monthly plan credits don't roll over.
- AI credits pay for Smart and Best picks and are used when Claude picks a video's moments, based on its length. Bought credits don't expire while your account is open. Credits have no cash value and can't be transferred. If a video can't be made because of an error (for example, Claude fails to answer or no usable moments are found), the cloud minutes and credits it used are returned to your account automatically.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. Paid plans renew monthly until you cancel, which you can do any time from your Account page. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments and bought credits aren't refunded. If you move to a smaller plan, its limits apply (for example, only your first channels keep being auto-clipped).
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. The change applies from your next renewal.
9. AI results
Moment picks, captions, titles and headlines are made by AI and may be wrong or miss things. Review your clips before you post them. You're responsible for what you post.
10. Connected platforms and posting
When you sign in with Twitch or Kick, or connect YouTube or TikTok for posting, you also agree to that platform's terms (for YouTube, the YouTube Terms of Service). You control what gets posted: ComoClip only posts the clips you choose, to the accounts you choose, at the time you choose. You can post only clips of videos you uploaded yourself or of your own verified Twitch or Kick channel, and only if you have the rights to everything in them, including music. You're responsible for your posts and for following each platform's rules. You can disconnect an account at any time on the Posts page.
11. Availability and changes
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it running and your data safe, but we don't guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or that clips will meet your needs. Keep your own copies of anything important. We may change or stop features. For major changes that affect paid features, we'll tell you in advance.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, ComoClip isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, views or followers. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if you haven't paid anything. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
You agree to cover ComoClip's costs from claims caused by content you submit or by your breaking these terms.
13. Ending
You can delete your account at any time in Account settings. That deletes your videos, clips, templates and channels. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the law, or that put the service or other users at risk. Where reasonable, we'll tell you why first. Sections 3 (license ending), 6, 8, 12 and 14 continue after your account ends, where they still apply.
14. General
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, USA, and disputes will be handled in its courts, unless the law where you live gives you other rights. If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with a new date, and email you about important changes before they take effect. Continuing to use ComoClip after that means you accept them.
